Debb Rugg Warren
Debb Rugg Warren grew up outside Boston and graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and a Minor in Art History and a Certification in Elementary Education. She taught elementary school for 13 years, and illustrated and worked in catering before she met her husband and became a stay at home mom. Debb and her husband moved to Mount Pleasant, SC twelve years ago to raise her two daughters. She recently turned the baby nursery into her art studio.
Debb loves color and line and draws her inspiration from nature and landscape. She normally works on a few paintings at a time using photographs she has taken while traveling with her family. She works with acrylic and chalk, oil pastel, and charcoal. When she starts painting, she normally does not have a plan. She starts with a color palette or maybe an image or landscape that she has seen. Debb has studied with many well-known artists and has gained an abundance of inspiration and knowledge through them.
