Coleman Senecal
Coleman Senecal is a self-taught oil painter, born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, and she recently spent three glorious years living and working in the English countryside with her family. She is constantly inspired by the play of light and shadow, dramatic clouds sweeping across the sky, and ripples of water dancing endlessly to the horizon. Coleman is best known for her realistic open water paintings and her big sky landscapes that blur the lines between realism and impressionism. She strongly believes the beauty of nature should be brought inside our homes and workplaces to breathe life, peace, and glory into our everyday lives.
Coleman currently lives in coastal Virginia with her husband and three boys. When she’s not working on new artwork in her home studio, she can be found driving her older sons to their travel soccer tournaments, chasing after her one year old, snuggling her puppy, spending as much time in nature as possible, and dreaming of moving back to England with her husband one day.
